Microsoft has release 5 new themes for Windows 7 users. These themes are available to download at the official Windows 7 theme packs gallery.

The themes are:
Behind the Masks, Calligraphy, City Lights, Naruto Shippuden 5, and Taiwan Sketches themes.

Official Google URL Shortcut for Google Pages: g.co

called “g.co” and this will only shortcut to official Google products and services. The 'g.co' links will only refer to web pages that are owned by Google and that only Google can create g.co shortcuts for its own services. The shorter a URL, the easier it is to share and remember and its the main reason why Google choose this way.

According to Google blog:

"In the world of URLs, bigger is not always better. In 2009, we helped shrink up long, unwieldy URLs by launching our public URL shortener, goo.gl. Today, we're announcing a new URL shortcut that will only link to official Google products and services: g.co.

The shorter a URL, the easier it is to share and remember. The downside is, you often can't tell what website you're going to be redirected to. We'll only use g.co to send you to webpages that are owned by Google, and only we can create g.co shortcuts. That means you can visit a g.co shortcut confident you will always end up at a page for a Google product or service.

There's no need to fret about the fate of goo.gl; we like it as much as you do, and nothing is changing on that front. It will continue to be our public URL shortener that anybody can use to shorten URLs across the web.

Keep your eyes open as we start rolling out g.co as our official URL shortcut for Google websites."

This is an interesting service by Google.

Unlock All Levels In Angry Birds

Its being few days since Angry Birds was made available in Chrome App Store and now there is a hack which can unlock all the levels in the game. If you are a fan of Angry birds, then this hack goes for you. When hacked, it enables all levels to play regardless of whether you have actually completed preceding levels or not.

Copy and paste and go the following code in the address bar to unlock all levels in Angry Birds.

Play Angry Birds On Chrome And All Browsers

The popular Angry Birds game has finally made inroad onto the Web, after conquering almost every platform it’s available – iOS, Android, WebOS, Symbian, Windows, Mac OS X and etc. Rovio CEO Peter Vesterbacka revealed during Google I/O on May 11, 2011 that improvement on graphics rendering technology in Google Chrome web browser allowing the Angry Birds for the web to be rendered at 60 fps.

The Angry Birds is now live on the Chrome Web Store, for free play. The Angry Birds for web supports Canvas as well as WebGL, and can indeed by played on any computer’s web browser with HTML5 and Flash support. In Chrome browser or Chrome OS, the entire Angry Birds game can also be played offline without Internet access via Google Chrome cache.

Getting anything for free is usually a pretty good deal, but getting the hit game free from the Google Chrome store is an even better deal! The hit game is available to anyone through Google Chrome Webstore. The Chrome App Store is a service for the users of the Google Chrome browser and the applications can be run within the browser. This also signals a change for Rovio, the company that created Angry Birds as this is the first version of the game in a browser based format.

There have previously been versions available for download through the Mac App Store for example, but these have been apps one runs native on their computer where as this is the first in-browser game. My guess is that we're not too far away from the release of the Angry Birds Facebook game either.

The Facebook version of Angry Birds has been rumored and to some degree also confirmed by Peter Vesterbacka to come out this month. There haven't been any official confirmations of this release date so it's still pretty much a guess at this point.

Nevertheless, the expansion of the game to the web through the kinds of Chrome App Store further enable Rovio to leverage the craze behind the game and make it available to people beyond smart phones (and other touch screen devices). I'm sure it will find its audience.

Angry Birds for PC Available For Download Via Intel AppUP

Angry birds is now available for Netbook and Laptops. The app is available as a download through the Intel AppUP center which is an app store for netbooks.

Angry Birds for desktop PCs includes 195 levels for hours and hours of gameplay. Customers who purchase the game will be provided free updates and additional levels to the game in future.

The app is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Moblin and is available at an introductory price of $4.99 for a limited period. Once the introductory period is over, the app will cost $9.99.

Rovio, the developer behind Angry Birds, recently said the game has hit 100 million downloads between iOS, Android and PC, and a Facebook version of the game is coming soon.

Opera announces Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mobile 11

Opera has announced the latest versions of its mobile web browsers, Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mobile 11.

The Opera Mini 6 browser works on devices using the Android, Blackberry. Symbian/Series 60 and J2ME operating systems. Opera Mobile 11 works on Android, Symbian, Windows 7 and Meego. Android is obviously the top priority for Opera, with users able to choose between the two mobile browsers.

Currently neither Opera browser will work on Apple's devices, but Opera is planning to show a preview of Opera Mini on the Iphone and Ipad, suggesting that an Opera web browser release for IOS is imminent.

Opera's web browser hasn't been doing well on desktop and laptop PCs, particularly with stiff competition from Microsoft, Google and Mozilla. However, its mobile offering has been gaining strong support, with the company having around 100 million mobile users.
